Travel Information

Due to our increasing NHS workload and more exotic destinations being visited, it has been decided to cease the non NHS travel health advice service previously offered within the practice.

Therefore, if you are planning a trip abroad and wish travel advice, you will require to consult with a private health clinic to ascertain which vaccinations are required.

As an NHS practice, we are only under obligation to provide the following vaccines:-

  • Hepatatis A
  • Typhoid
  • Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio
  • Smallpox

If it is highlighted by a private travel health clinic that you require any of the above vaccines for the country you are visiting, then please contact the surgery to arrange a suitable appointment with the Practice Nurse for vaccination and also request a prescription for the required vaccine.

When you see the Practice Nurse please bring with you the vaccination schedule provided to you by the private travel health clinic.

As a course of vaccines may be required, please ensure you make an appointment at least 4 weeks notice prior to your departure.

Please contact the surgery for a list of travel health clinics.
